Karaweik palace is among the famous landmarks in Yangon city that is located at the Eastern side of Kandawgyi Lake. It’s a symbol of the traditional Myanmar culture and art. This palace was designed and built by a famous Myanmar architect known as U Ngwe Hlaing and resembles the Pyigyimon Royal Barge. It was constructed between 1972 and 1974 and in the year 1988 it was converted into a restaurant that offers both local and international cuisines.
This Myanmar restaurant comprises of 2 reception halls where weddings, gala occasions and celebrations of any kind can be held. Buffet lunch is served daily as from 11.00 up to 3pm while dinner is served as from 6pm up to 9pm.
